Nothing says winter like knitting something warm and cozy for someone you love. I have an afghan going for my oldest son, but I also have this handy dandy (definitely) more portable project going on as well. The love of my life is the outdoorsy type, who enjoys hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing. So, I'm making him a nice wool hat to keep him warm during his outings. Given the amount of cabling required, I sure do hope he likes it!

Oh Look Who Got Engaged While She Was Away

That's right! ME!!!!! I got engaged last October and I couldn't be happier. I found the perfect guy for me and now we're planning a June wedding and getting our new house settled. WHEW!!! Busy busy and happy happy.
Now that life in the new place is starting to find it's rhythm, I find that I finally have time to knit again. Now the problem is (and isn't it always) I have too many projects on the needles. There's an afghan for my son, hat for my fiancee, scarf for one step daughter, mittens for another and two tops for Halloween for a friend..... Oh, and a baby blanket. EEEEEEK! I will start sharing my progress again and try to wade through some of what needs to get finished. Life is good :)
